FROZEN
(Infinite Series)

We all have them - those intensely special moments we want to hold onto forever.  You want to pause time so you can truly, tangibly enjoy every aspect of that memory you are creating.  To feel, touch, taste, hear and see with all senses fully engaged.  To relive it whenever you need to feel connected to your story.

The moment you held your baby for the first time.  The moment you said Yes.  And I do.  The times you laughed so hard you cried.  The moment a song lyric struck you like an arrow.  We hold on to those for the joy they bring.

But it's the sorrowful moments too. When you said something you can't take back.  When you hurt someone or they hurt you.  When you suffered great loss. When you cried so hard you thought you would break.  The reason for holding onto those moments is to see where you've come from.  What you've overcome.  To see the strength that has risen inside you during the hardest of times.  To know the darkness you are capable of because it reminds you to run to the light.

Acrylic on 300gsm watercolour paper

Size: 50x70cm

Painted with blended movement and lots of beautiful layers.  Features peach, powder blue, deep indigo, chartreuse and tiny details in red.

'Infinite' series explores our non-linear experience of time through memory, thought and the flow of experiences.  The tracks and imprints we leave with our lives, our words, our actions.  How they cross time and exist eternally.  Echoes and images of the finite in the infinite.
